Larimer County has long been an important center for bioscience activity in Colorado. Research from Colorado State University has been commercialized through local companies; established bio companies have licensed technologies to new “spin-out” companies; serial entrepreneurs have created a legacy of start-up successes; and inventors have created new companies to manufacture, market, and distribute their products. As the Companies page illustrates, Larimer bioscience firms are a diverse group, including: biotech, medical devices and instruments, pharmaceuticals, and biofuels.
